How to unlock siemens induction cooktop!

by Jack 1 Comment

Unlocking a cooktop can be sometimes tricky as your designated knowledge on induction cooktops can fail to favor your expectations. This may lead you to attempt to unlock your cooktop but end up destroying your burner altogether. In addition, you may also download misleading procedures which may end up being cumbersome and unsatisfactory. These situations call for expert assistance or guidance. It is hard to find a friend who can unlock siemens induction cooktop for free because very few people are familiar with the professional procedure to do it. This may oblige you to call a repair expert, where you will eventually incur some cost in a problem that you can fix in less than ten minutes.

The siemens induction cooktop lock feature was designed for safety purposes, mainly to prevent children from accidents if they try to use it without permission or prevent you from injury while cleaning. Some models for example, oven/range and cooktop-only models have a inbuilt control panel lock to reduce the risk of locking the cooktop and which you can also use to prevent unnecessary access to the control panel and the cooktop burners. This lock is set by removing a magnetic temperature dial that locks the burners if it is removed from the cooktop and in models like cooktop-only which have attached control panel, it is set using the control panel.

The procedure of unlocking the siemens induction cooktop is simple and you can do it within a short time. You don’t have to call a repair specialist to unlock it for you. However, you have to be very keen. For the models with the inbuilt control panel, the first step is to press the “panel lock” or the ” cooking mode” key for at least five seconds. If your cooktop does not have these keys, press the “power” or power off” key. Moreover, if your cooktop has a “MagTron” dial that you probably removed when you locked the cooktop, return the dial to its original position and then press the “panel lock” button or one of the keys on your cooktop for several seconds. After that you can turn on the cooktop burner to confirm that you have successfully unlocked the cooktop. How simple is this!

Are you ready to unlock siemens induction cooktop ?

The next step is to flip the circuit breaker for your siemens induction cooktop, then oven or range to power off your appliance completely. If you still can not use the cooktop, reboot the control panel, and wait for about five minutes. You may then flip the switch after which you can reset the clock and finally turn on a burner and it is ready and safe for use again. As simple as that, no use of tools, no hustle, no cost incurred, just you.
However, there are certain circumstances when you may end up not unlocking your siemens induction cooktop. This is a normal occurrence and it is usually as a result of a malfunction of the control panel. This is the point where you can now contact a certified Siemens repair expert to take care of your appliance.

Ok so tried all those things not actually sure which one made it unlock. I think it was switching off power from wall, then whilst the LED screen was blank, switched on power then held the lock button for 5-10 seconds. Thanks, it’s an induction loop hob.
